The Water Division would like to extend a Thank You on behalf of the City for making Meridian, Idaho your place of residence! It has been another busy year of growth and development for not only the City but also the Water Division.
This year we continued our commitment to improve our water quality through the addition of our fourth water treatment facility. These treatment systems are making significant improvements in reducing our water’s mineral levels, which contribute to our brown water occurrences. Additionally, we added two new drinking water wells to keep up with the demands of our growing northern and southern portions of town. Through these new facilities, improved technologies, and continuous testing and monitoring, we continue to provide safe, high-quality drinking water that meets or exceeds State and Federal drinking water standards.
As always, we hope you enjoy this year's report in its new electronic format and find the information convenient, useful, and educational. We would also like to invite you to join us for this year's Public Works Week celebration in early June. During this week-long event, there are several fun and educational events planned that include a 3k/5k fun run, an interactive and educational Expo, and hands-on guided tours of our water and wastewater utility operations. Hope to see you there!
