Personal containers must be smaller than 32 gallons and weigh less than 60 pounds.

Trash bundles must be tied together and cannot exceed 4 feet in length nor weigh more than 30 pounds.

One container or bundle equals one free pickup.
 - Dispose of real Christmas Trees through Christmas Tree Composting.

Bulky item service is offered year-round to single-family households with trash cart collection through Republic Services. Objects are considered bulky items if too large to fit in your trash cart, such as couches, mattresses, and appliances.
        Service Includes
- 10 free bulky item pickups per calendar year (limitations apply).
 - Flexibility to schedule bulky item pickups when you need them.
 - 
Refrigerant-containing appliance (e.g., refrigerators, A/C units) removal rate of $74.78 per item, which is conveniently added to your utility bill.
 
How it Works
- 
Read the important information below.
 - 
Items must be scheduled in advance.
 - Schedule online by completing the Bulky Item Form below or call Republic Services at 208-345-1265.
 - 
Place items out on your normal trash service day by 6 AM, unless otherwise notified by Republic Services.
 - 
Set items at the curb at least 3 feet from other objects, such as parked cars or your trash cart.

* Please remember that rechargeable batteries can cause fires. These batteries can become damaged when compacted in the collection trash trucks, and damaged batteries cause fires.

 - Tires (bring to the Ada County Landfill)

Recycle your cardboard for free at the Meridian Transfer Station (2130 W Franklin Rd., Meridian - located in the office parking lot).
Guidelines:
- Both large and small cardboard pieces are accepted.
 - Flatten all cardboard.
 - Remove all other materials (e.g., packing peanuts, StyrofoamTM, and plastic bags) before placing them into the recycling container.
